Sue Richardson

Sue Richardson is Word4Word’s founder and business development director. Before starting the company in 1998 she worked as a freelance editor and writer and took on her first publishing venture, The Textile Directory, in 2001. Sue is also a member of the Professional Speakers Association and spends a large part of her time speaking about publishing. Karen Swinden 

Karen Swinden is managing director of Word4Word. Prior to joining the company in October 2007, she was the founding partner and then shareholder and director of Kable Ltd, a publishing, research and events company, which was sold to the Guardian Media Group in August 2007. Karen has over 25 years’ experience of working in the publishing industry and nearly 20 years’ experience of running SMEs specialising in magazine and book publishing.  

Cara Carey  

Cara Carey is book production manager at Word4Word. Before joining the company in March 2008, she spent 10 years working in direct marketing as a client services account manager (and also found the time to qualify as a diagnostic radiographer!). Cara is responsible for all aspects of project management, design, artwork, copywriting, print production, and marketing. 

Sara Drinkwater  

Sara Drinkwater is an editor, proof reader and production assistant at Word4Word. Before joining Word4Word in 2005 she completed an English degree, specialising in children’s literature. Sara is also editor of the Textile Directory, Word4Word’s comprehensive resource website delivering information about textile related art, craft, fashion and interior decoration applications.

Holly Edwards

Holly Edwards is responsible for marketing the Textile Directory since September 2007, helping to plan and develop the website. She is also responsible for managing the listings section of the directory, ensuring that it is up to date with latest information about textile-related products and services.
