This week, New York hosts Book Expo America, the premiere event serving the US publishing industry. I caught up with the organizers when I visited the London Book Fair in April and found out that the Expo offers great opportunities for UK authors interested in selling the US rights to their publications.

Take a look at the website at http://www.bookexpoamerica.com As with all book fairs it's really worth planning your trip a year ahead as it's important to set up appointments well in advance. Turning up in the hope of seeing rights buyers is not a good plan as you may find no-one willing to talk to you. So make a plan for next year now if you're thinking of selling rights.
